Pick up your car between 1 pm and 5 pm near Edinburgh Airport and start your road trip towards Loch Lomond. Allow around two hours for the drive through the Scottish countryside. Along the way, you can stop at Stirling Castle, a must-see.

In the evening, unwind on the shores of Loch Lomond, where you’ll spend your first night in Scotland.

Pick up your car between 1 pm and 5 pm near Edinburgh Airport and start your road trip towards Kingshouse. Allow about three hours’ drive through the Scottish landscape. On the way, you can stop at Stirling Castle, a must-see.

In the evening, enjoy some peace and quiet in Kingshouse, at the gateway to Glencoe. This is where you’ll spend your first night in Scotland, surrounded by mountains.

Fancy a little royal detour? Stirling Castle sits proudly on its rocky perch, offering sweeping views across the region. If you feel like it, visit the castle during this stop and explore its grand rooms, historic kitchens, and a bit of Scottish history to add some spice to your journey.

After your first hotel night in Scotland, you start the day at the gateway to Glencoe.
Then take the famous Glen Etive road, which will surely remind you of the James Bond film Skyfall. You can stop for a short hike and take in the spectacular scenery.
You’ll end the day near Glenfinnan, home to the viaduct made famous by the Harry Potter films.

After your first night camping in Scotland, start the day in the Loch Lomond area.

Then head to the charming village of Luss for your kayaking trip (if booked) on the lake’s calm waters.

Next, take the famous road through Glen Etive, which will probably remind you of the James Bond film Skyfall. Stop for a short hike and take in the spectacular scenery.

Your day starts at one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks: Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for its appearance in the Harry Potter films. Next, you’ll travel along the mysterious Loch Ness, where you might even spot the legendary monster.

On your way to the Isle of Skye, don’t miss the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. Your day ends at the gateway to Skye, where the first views of the Hebrides offer a glimpse of the incredible landscapes waiting ahead.

Today is a long one, but it means you’ll reach the Isle of Skye this evening and have all of tomorrow to explore it.

Your day begins at one of Scotland’s most legendary landmarks: Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films. You’ll then travel along the mysterious Loch Ness, where you might even catch a glimpse of its famous monster.

On your way to the Isle of Skye, don’t miss the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. You’ll end the day on Skye, where your first views of the Hebrides will give you a taste of the wonders waiting for you tomorrow.

Everyone knows the stories of the Loch Ness Monster... now it's your turn to go looking for it! At 37 km long, with dark, deep waters, this legendary loch holds the largest volume of fresh water in the Highlands. With mist, hills and the ruins of Urquhart Castle all around, it's the perfect setting to play detective.

A day to explore Skye at your own pace!

There are no long drives today. You’ll set off from Portree and return to the same accommodation this evening, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the island.

Your day takes you through the most spectacular landscapes in northern Skye, with towering cliffs, waterfalls and mysterious valleys. You’ll catch sight of the iconic Old Man of Storr, then follow the coast to Bride’s Veil and Rha waterfalls. Thrill-seekers can also stop near the Quiraing to discover a dinosaur footprint, a surprising and unusual detour.

You’ll finish among the enchanting landscapes of Fairy Glen, with its cone-shaped hills and almost otherworldly atmosphere, before returning to Portree for the night.

Head south on Skye, then make your way to Applecross!

If you haven’t already, spend the morning exploring the south of the Isle of Skye. Whisky lovers can take the opportunity to visit the Talisker distillery.

Then leave the Isle of Skye behind and tackle the legendary Bealach na Bà, one of Scotland’s most spectacular mountain roads. It climbs to an altitude of 626 metres and rewards you with incredible views over the west coast.

Not long after, you’ll arrive at your accommodation for the night, near Applecross.

On to your next adventure! If you’ve booked it, your day starts with a boat trip to see seal colonies, departing from the picturesque harbour of Plockton.

Then head for the Isle of Skye. Your first stop is the mysterious Fairy Pools: these natural waterfalls form a series of turquoise pools of extraordinary clarity.

Your route then takes you to Portree, the island’s colourful capital, where you can stroll around and enjoy traditional food.

The day ends at a campsite near Portree, on the Isle of Skye.

The day starts with an exploration of the Old Man of Storr, an impressive 48-metre-high rock formation and one of Skye’s most photographed landmarks.

Next, head to Applecross via the legendary Bealach na Bà pass. This winding scenic road climbs to 626 metres and rewards you with incredible views of Scotland’s west coast. Stop for lunch in the village of Applecross, known for its fresh seafood and white-sand beaches.

End the day in Shieldaig, after a beautiful drive through the Scottish Highlands.

Today, head to the magnificent Cairngorms National Park, the largest national park in Britain. Spend the day exploring its natural treasures: ancient Caledonian pine forests, purple heather moors, crystal-clear lochs and granite peaks. Several hikes are available, so you can discover Scotland’s natural heritage at your own pace.

If you fancy it, you can add an activity (if booked): a visit to the Hairy Coos. The visit starts at 3:30 pm, and we recommend arriving by 3:15 pm. Set off early that day so you have time to enjoy all the planned stops before your appointment.

In the evening, settle in at the heart of the national park.

Today, head to the magnificent Cairngorms National Park, the largest national park in Britain. Spend the day exploring its natural treasures: ancient Caledonian pine forests, purple heather moors, crystal-clear lochs and granite peaks. Several hikes are available, so you can discover Scotland’s natural heritage at your own pace.

From the cobbled streets of the Old Town to the elegant avenues of the New Town, discover Edinburgh’s many different sides. Admire the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched on its volcanic rock, then wander through the picturesque Grassmarket, a former livestock market that’s now a lively neighborhood filled with traditional pubs and independent craft shops.

At the end of the day, you’ll spend one last night in your rooftop tent, at a campsite near Edinburgh Airport, so you can set off relaxed the next morning.

It’s time to head to Edinburgh, Scotland’s beautiful capital. After 6 days in the wild, it’s time to explore the city. Drop your bags off at your hotel near Edinburgh Airport: a direct bus takes you to the city centre in about 30 minutes. From the cobbled lanes of the Old Town to the elegant avenues of the New Town, discover the many sides of Edinburgh. Admire the imposing Edinburgh Castle perched on its volcanic rock, then wander through the picturesque Grassmarket district, a former livestock market turned lively neighbourhood with traditional pubs and craft shops.

Good to know: you can choose to return your rental car today, or tomorrow at 10 am at the latest at Edinburgh Airport.

The end of the adventure!

Sadly, it’s time to head home… Return your rental car at Edinburgh Airport by 10 am at the latest. With the comfort package, you can also choose to return it on day 7.
